These biscuits are easy to make and can be decorated with chocolate buttons, smarties, dried fruit, icing and even skittles! Baked December 2012
Gingerbread People with Choc buttons and Skittles
1½ cup plain flour
2 tsp butter
1 tsp bi-carb soda
3 Tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp mixed spice
6 Tbsp milk
2 tsp ground ginger
¼ cup sugar
Preheat oven to 190C
Melt butter and syrup; sift in dry ingredients and sugar. Mix well to form a dough ball
Roll out on floured bench, cut into shapes using cookie cutters or create your own designs.
Bake in moderate oven 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
Allow to cool and decorate with icing, smarties, chocolates
