Green skirt with lining

This skirt I made last year at the end of summer. It is based on another pattern I saw on the Burder Style website –   Ida Maria high waisted skirt . This pattern is a great basic skirt pattern which can be easily modified for other great skirt designs. Essentially 2 lengths of fabric approx 50cm x 70cm,  1 length of waistband fabric approx 80cm x 10cm and a zipper. Blue and white spotty dress

For this dress, I manipultated a pattern I found on the Burda Style website.  http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/coffee-date-dress-multisize-sample The Burda Style website is great for sewing ideas and some patterns can be downloaded for free. The dress pattern I used had to be printed onto A4 paper, and there were approx. 25 pages which needed to be joined together and then cut out. This did take me a while to do and the finished pattern was rather stiff and covered with joins and  sticky tape!!
