I have just completed my second pair of “Party Pant” for my Esty shop ! This unique pair of casual unisex trousers, referred to as “Party Pant” have been made out African wax print cotton fabric with pink and yellow geometric shapes on a green background. Made with an elastic waist and drawstring, 2 front pockets and French seams throughout for additional strength.  The fabric has been pre-washed to prevent shrinkage and colour run. Introducing the “Party Pant”

These trousers have been affectionately named “Party Pant” by our friends after their first public appearance at SW4 Music festival at Clapham Common 2010. I think the name is perfect and has stuck. Version 1 – the original “Party Pant” I’ve made one alteration since the initial construction – added 2 side pockets with closures. Saturday morning “Party Pant”

Last weekend an early morning alarm startled me awake, and briefly I thought it was another weekday morning …. Luckily it wasn’t; however I was now completed awake at 6:30am on Saturday morning … 6:30am !! What to do ……how about make some bright “Party Pant” for my boyfriend to wear to Wireless Festival in Hyde park later on Saturday. Cute little skirt

I used the following website as a tutorial for this “Milk Maid” skirt. http://crafterhours.blogspot.com/2009/11/milkmaid-skirt-tutorial.html The use of bias binding on the pockets and around the hem is fantastic – as well as being contrasting in colour, it was easy to apply. I did try and make my own bias binding; however is was rather difficult and so much easier to buy !! The tutorial was easy to follow, and I feel confident that I could make another one of these skirts in about 2 hours.
